Why regular servicing matters
Servicing replaces the oil, filters and fluids that wear out with use, and gives us the chance to look over the parts of your car that you can’t easily see. Keeping to a regular service schedule helps your engine last, keeps running costs predictable and means small problems are more likely to be found before they become expensive ones.
What a service at VDR Auto includes
The exact checklist depends on your vehicle and the type of service it is due, but a service typically covers:
- Engine oil and oil filter change
- Air, fuel and cabin filters where due
- Fluid levels checked and topped up
- Brakes, pads and discs inspected
- Tyres checked for tread depth, condition and pressure
- Steering and suspension components checked
- Lights, wipers and battery checked
- Exhaust and underside visual inspection
If we find anything that needs attention, we’ll explain what it is and give you a price. We won’t carry out additional work without speaking to you first.
Interim and full services
An interim service is a lighter service, usually carried out between full services on higher-mileage cars. A full service is more thorough and normally due once a year or at the mileage set by your manufacturer. If you’re not sure which your car needs, send us the registration and mileage and we’ll advise you.
Servicing for a wide range of makes and models
We service petrol and diesel cars from a wide range of manufacturers. We use oil and parts to the correct specification for your vehicle.
